Office Online is a free extension developed for the Google Chrome web browser. Designed to give users access to Microsoft’s line of works tools, Office Online lets users create Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote documents without needing to download and installed the fully fledged version of Office on their desktop or laptop hard drive. Through Google Chrome, users can perform the same functions they would with the Office software, but with the addition of online use, it can be opened and accessed across a number of different devices.

A document can be uploaded or created on one device and then opened on another for seamless workflow. Furthermore, any documents saved in Office is stored in Microsoft’s OneDrive and can be accessed from any other computer or mobile device.
