Night Lights is a simple puzzle platformer based on a previously released web game from the same developer. In the game, shadows are solid objects that disappear when hit by beams of light. So, by aiming lights strategically, you can “cut” into shadow objects to create passageways, release trapped items or avoid obstacles. On the other hand, light can also hinder your progress through a level by causing segments of ladders and platforms to disappear. You’ll definitely need to use your wits to uncover the way through moonlit forests, cities and other locations, each rendered in midnight blues and blacks. Fortunately, you’ll eventually be able to unlock an incredibly useful headlamp, allowing you to take light wherever you go. To progress through the game, you’ll also need to collect crystals, which can be used to activate lights and mechanisms needed to solve puzzles.
