Neon Blood is a single-player adventure game developed by Meridiem Games and set in a cyberpunk world that puts players into the year 2053. During this year, a war divided the Viridis into two cities, bringing inequality. This pushes Detective Axel McCoin to put an end to this kind of treatment and corruption.

Neon Blood works similarly to The Rise of the Golden Idol, Dave the Diver, Sea of Stars, and Ace Attorney Investigations Collection — which provide an adventure-packed experience wherein its gameplay revolves around investigating crimes or mysteries, letting you play as a prosecutor or investigator.

Play as a detective and investigate a corruption 

Neon Blood’s plot begins when a war in the year 2053 has caused the world to be torn apart and only one city has survived — Viridis City. This city was then divided into two: the luxurious Bright City and the oppressed Blind City. Axel McCoin, a former police detective saw how people in Blind City were being treated with inequality and he can’t stand it.  

With this, he decided to go against this unfair treatment that separated the Viridis City. It’s up to him how he will unmask the whole corruption behind these inequalities and injustices that disturb the peace of Viridis. Here, you’ll step into the role of Detective McCoin with a mission to destroy the established order and demolish the root of corruption in Viridis. 

This game uses classic turn-based combat and Quick Time Events that keep you on your toes. As a player, you can freely explore the Viridis city, and you must interact with the city’s inhabitants as they can help you discover the cause of inequality in the city. You can even meet allies as you travel around the city who are also willing to change the world. However, as it focuses on investigation, it doesn’t have a character development feature.
