NEKOPARA Vol. 2 is an indie game developed by Neko Works. It is a visual novel that will have you roleplay a manager of a popular patisserie. The game will follow your days as you work with your family's catgirls.

As the name suggests, NEKOPARA Vol. 2 is the sequel to the game of the same name.  It will have the same gameplay as its predecessor and will feature the same anime-like visuals and animation. However, this one will highlight two new catgirls. Players should note that, like the first game, this one comes with mature content. 

New catgirls in the shop

NEKOPARA Vol. 2 follows the story of the first NEKOPARA game. As mentioned, you play the same protagonist, Kashou Minaduki, the owner of a patisserie. He works with their family's catgirls, and this game will feature their day-to-day activities. Of course, this will also include your interaction with the catgirls in your employ. As you might guess, it will also focus on your romantic relationship with them.

As noted, this game will focus on two new catgirls, Coconut and Azuki. However, while the first game was focused on its featured catgirls, the two were more like guest stars popping in for a quick episode. There is very little character building as they are both pretty in Kashou from the start. Additionally, the story is written as if the two will casually move along in the upcoming iterations.

However, if you can look past those, you will like its anime-style comedy. The anime-like visuals also help with the characters constantly moving and changing expressions. That said, the gameplay is more like kinetic novels. There are no decisions to make here. You will only watch how the story unfolds from the beginning until the end. Like its predecessor, it is a fanservice with hints of mature content.

Overall, NEKOPARA Vol. 2 is a fun game to play if you are into adult stories, harem anime, and maid costumes. It continues the fluffy, cutesy, and sometimes sexy path of its predecessor. However, while it focuses on a new set of catgirls, it does nothing to shake things up. It could use a little more story reconstructing that really makes the new characters standout.
