Nautical Survival is an ocean-based action game developed and published by Idan Rooze for PC. In this naval exploration, players step into the shoes of an armed sea vessel's captain, commanding it to navigate the perilous seas and fight against relentless throngs of sea creatures. 

Playable from a top-down perspective, Nautical Survival delivers a combat-filled experience and utilizes roguelike, arena shooter, and bullet hell mechanics, which makes it the perfect title for players who enjoy action-packed, naval-based titles. This arcade-style game also touches on casual, RPG, racing, and survival elements, making each playthrough feel dynamic. 

Fight relentless sea monsters 

In Nautical Survival, the ocean is extensive and unforgiving, with hordes of sea monsters lurking under the surface of the seemingly endless and calm water. As the captain of an armed sea vessel, you must navigate the vastness of the dangerous ocean with caution. Moreover, you must hire highly trained crew members, arm your ship with powerful weaponry, and devise a sound strategy for survival. 

Do not fret, though. As seemingly simple as this game sounds, some aspects offer an edge, including its auto-shooter mechanics and Survivor-like structure. It also allows extensive customization, with eight unlockable seacrafts with distinct traits, 12 upgradable crew members to tailor your strategy, and 13 distinct automated weapons, keeping you equipped and prepared to face various challenges across procedurally generated maps. 

The game also has 15 enemy types and three boss battles, with five sea structures, each with upgradeable features that can be discovered. Each run time across the procedurally generated maps spans about 20 minutes. However, the game suffers from occasional screen tearing despite having a V-Sync setting. In addition, it does not have a save system for saving players’ progress. 

Naval warfare experience 

Nautical Survival offers a thrilling blend of naval warfare, roguelike intensity, and arcade-style action, making it a standout for fans of fast-paced, sea-based combat. With deep customization options, challenging enemies, and dynamic 20-minute runs, it delivers a bite-sized yet engaging experience. While minor technical hiccups like screen tearing and the lack of a save system hold it back slightly, its replayability and creative design still make it worth diving into.
