NAKWON: LAST PARADISE is a premium action game for PC developed by NEXON. In this third-person post-apocalyptic survival horror adventure, players will navigate a world wherein humans and the undead co-exist in a brutal, parasitic existence. They must find means to survive by scavenging and selling to "make a living" somehow.

Much like Dying Light 2 Stay Human or Killing Floor 2, NAKWON: LAST PARADISE features a vast open world divided into multiple distinct biomes and environments for players to explore and navigate. They can approach the gameplay in various ways, either through force or be more subtle.

New post-apocalyptic existence

NAKWON: LAST PARADISE occurs in Seoul in an alternate reality that sees the city being overrun by zombies. Together with the last few humans remaining, a parasitic society has become the new norm, wherein the former have dominion and the latter fight for scraps to survive. You are one of these survivors, and you will be risking everything to carve a twisted existence for yourself.

The gameplay in NAKWON revolves around Extraction Survival mechanics that have you infiltrate the city to collect valuable items to sell and complete missions for money. Zombies are sensitive to sound and will attack upon detection. With guns and weapons being scarce, rely on what you can find to defend yourself from encounters. Alternatively, you can also take a stealthy approach and sneak around to complete your objectives.

The game also utilizes a Citizen Grade System that determines your privileges and access level. Earn more money, purchase better equipment, and upgrade your grade to be able to explore more areas. Now, if all of this sounds intriguing, you will have to wait for a while longer since it's not available yet, and there's no specific release date either.

Life in the aftermath

Overall, NAKWON: LAST PARADISE is an interesting take on the zombie survival genre by combining life simulation mechanics with its mission-based extraction gameplay. The result is an experience that offers thrilling combat and stealth while also feeling grounded and realistic. Suffice it to say, it's worth checking out for these reasons alone. Keep this on your radar, and give it a try when it officially comes out.
