MyID Your Digital Hub is a free-to-use communications app designed for subscribers of Telecom International Myanmar Limited. This app supports a wide range of features such as messaging, voice and video calls, and more. More than connecting you with friends and family, it also comes with a suite of value-added services from Mytel, allowing you to make subscriptions and purchases right from your device.

At the onset, MyID Your Digital Hub is a region-specific app with a lot of features. However, it suffers from a couple of technical issues. It’s like Alaap - BTCL Calling App or Nepal Telecom.

Feature-rich customer platform

Since MyID Your Digital Hub caters to subscribers of a specific telecom provider, users from other locations might have difficulty enjoying its services. Aside from the brand and geographic restrictions, the app works generally fine. It features a lot of services, most of them packaged in a streamlined layout where every section is easy to identify and access. Of course, for security purposes, you’ll need to register for an account.

As for the features, it has a wide range of capabilities for eligible users. Aside from messaging, it serves as a loyalty and rewards platform for subscribers, with accumulated points usable for a variety of options. Also as mentioned, it lets you avail of other Mytel services right from the app. What sets it apart, however, is how it features a selection of video and audio materials.

Still, for a telecom app, it’s quite surprising to find a couple of technical issues. For example, Mytel subscribers report the app not displaying accurate information regarding their prepaid or data balance. Also, there are instances where the hosted videos do not load properly, although it can be fixed by closing and restarting the app. Lastly, there are intermittent cases where the app just freezes or crashes when in use.

Hindered by optimization issues

MyID Your Digital Hub goes beyond the standard telecom app. Aside from simply offering services related to communications and offering new products, it even lets users stream music or video at no additional cost. However, the fact that it suffers from optimization issues negatively affects the user experience, from cases of crashing to inaccurate displays of data. Still, these are intermittent problems and do not affect all users.
