MY HERO ONE'S JUSTICE
Young Heroes Unite
My Hero Academia fighting game
MY HERO ONE'S JUSTICE 2 is a premium action game from BYKING and BANDAI NAMCO. This fighting title is also based on the hit anime and manga series My Hero Academia (MHA) by Kohei Horikoshi.
Similar to its predecessor, MY HERO ONE’S JUSTICE, you play as one of the MHA characters in a 3D arena. Each character has a different quirk, superhuman abilities to help you in battle. MY HERO ONE’s JUSTICE 2 features a wide customization system and more characters reflecting the series’ progression. It’s quite similar to ONE PIECE BURNING BLOOD or Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.
MY HERO ONE'S JUSTICE 2 is set in the MHA world where most people have quirks or powers. In this 3D arena fighting game, you use your character’s unique quirk to achieve superhuman feats and knock the enemy down. Like most fighting games, different characters have different move sets and fighting styles, allowing you to explore and play the game for longer.
As the sequel and an update to the MHA fighting games, it features more characters that keep pace with the anime and manga series. Aside from the larger roster included in the base release of the game, more characters and customization options are added via downloadable content (DLC) packs, such as the following:
The game also offers game passes, with the MY HERO ONE’s JUSTICE 2 Season Pass 2, which offers unlockable in-game content as the player completes tasks and challenges.
This offers a more dynamic fighting experience, although players will need to relearn the balanced fighting mechanics of blocks and guard cancels. As a game patterned after a series, its Mission Mode surprisingly feels disjointed. There are different small arcs to enjoy and explore, but no singular narrative tying everything together. Aside from this minor gap, the game is generally enjoyable.
Overall, MY HERO ONE'S JUSTICE 2 is a massive upgrade over the original game. With an updated roster and improved battle mechanics, players can go back to playing their favorite heroes and villains and fight away. Although the DLC for every minor addition can feel troublesome, plus the lack of an overarching narrative to everything together, the base game is already enjoyable as it is.
