Murder Mystery 2 is a Roblox game in which multiple players take on the roles of killers stalking each other through one of a number of environments. Players are randomly assigned either the role of an innocent, the sheriff or the murderer. The goal is to identify the murderer and have the sheriff shoot him or her; for the murderer, of course, the goal is to murder unsuspecting innocents. Fast-paced and whimsical, this classic party game has a strong element of randomness.

Staging your first murder

Like a lot of Roblox games, Murder Mystery 2 has relatively little to guide you through it; you may have to figure out the rules on your own, particularly when it comes to more complex tasks like trading items between players or getting upgraded weapons. However, the basics are simple and the enjoyment of discovering that a sparkling wolf in a top hat is actually a vicious killed is genuine. Long wait times in lobbies can sometimes be a problem, as with any popular Roblox game.

Simple but enjoyable

There isn't much complexity to Murder Mystery 2 -- in analog equivalents, the challenge is knowing what the other players are thinking, which is harder when everyone's a grinning cartoon character. Despite that, it's an engaging way to pass the time, and individual sessions are short enough that they never get boring.
