Minecraft is a free-to-use game utility created by Phantorm. This essentially lets you play a limited version of Minecraft right from your ROBLOX engine. As such, it recreates the iconic voxel art-style world, while retaining the smoother box-shaped characters of the base game. This combination of the two hit games creates a new experience. Additionally, you can also invite other players to your private ROBLOX server.

While it captures the world with its art style, Minecraft doesn’t cover the full version of the real thing. However, this mod has limited weapons, mobs, and locations that could derail the players’ experience.

Combining two games in one

With the Minecraft mod, you get a mix of the two hit video games. On one side, you get the voxel art style of the Mojang open world. Enjoy the rising and falling terrain, the trees, and the grasslands all rendered in vivid and distinguishable little voxel units. The units, including the players and all moving creatures, are all rendered using ROBLOX’s equally distinct art style. 

Accessing this unique experience is also easy, especially since you can download Phantorm’s work directly from the ROBLOX website. Be careful though, since there are a lot of other similar experiences available from the online platform, some of them requiring Robux to access. Like most ROBLOX experiences, it supports an easy multiplayer experience, letting you invite friends to join you in exploring this world.

As mentioned, the only issue with this mod is that it is quite limited in coverage. The original game offers a massive open-world experience, plus otherworldly dimensions like The End. Also, manage your expectations since some monsters like the Ender Dragon are not available. The largest setback, however, is in the crafting capabilities. Understandably, more advanced builds such as redstone machines are not doable here.

A Minecraft trial for ROBLOX

Overall, this particular Minecraft mod from Phantorm remains a modern classic for ROBLOX players. In fact, it has become the basis for other Minecraft-inspired experiences in the game-building platform. Its multiplayer support and unique treatment of both games make it a fun experience that is both familiar and refreshing. If it could expand its coverage for the locations and in-game content, it would be the best crossover ROBLOX experience.
