MIMIC is a free adventure game for PC coming from an indie developer who goes by the name PuKo. It's a first-person horror title that features PS1-style graphics. In it, players take on the role of a parent who needs to protect their child from something sinister lurking in their home.

Home alone

Much like The Convenience Store or The Caregiver, you get a dark and atmospheric experience in MIMIC coupled with low-poly graphics for an old-school look. It's a horror-themed home invasion, wherein you are a mother trying to protect you and your child from something sinister trying to get inside your home, whatever it takes.

Depending on how you play, the game has two possible endings. That said, if you manage to unlock them, you are still looking at a run time of just a few minutes to finish both. It could use longer gameplay or more scenarios should the developer opt for them in future updates.

Creepy but short

MIMIC is an easy recommendation for anyone into PS1-style games with its low-poly graphics and dark and creepy gameplay that they're known for. It's just a shame that the gameplay is too short. Nevertheless, if you're a fan of this genre, it's worth experiencing for yourself despite being short-lived.
