Heroes of Hammerwatch is a progressive game that requires players to battle hordes of enemies in order to progress to more advanced levels. Each environment is generated based off of previous actions, so no two outcomes are ever alike.

Basic Gameplay and Plot

Heroes of Hammerwatch is partially based off of the popular Hammerwatch series and those who are familiar with this previous version will recognise some similarities.The ultimate goal is to reach a location known as the Forsaken Spire. However, accomplishing this task will require persistence as well as sound strategic planning.Each adventure starts within a town known as Outlook. From here, the user will begin to advance by solving puzzles and collecting loot. There are seven different characters to choose from during each "run".

The Principle of Persistent Progression

Heroes of Hammerwatch employs a tactic known as Persistent progression.In other words, the characters will amass experience points during each run.This enables them to become more powerful and to gain more skills so that they can select different tactics in the future.
