Zed_Technician's Midnight Maid Night is a free adventure indie horror game that has easy-to-understand gameplay. Here, while making your way between the mansion's many rooms and your vehicle, you'll have to evade the eyes of the previous estate owner's father, among other things. 

Similar to the developer’s other games like The Man from the Window, Midnight Maid Night has you competing against time. If you want to avoid being confronted by the estate's owner's father and the workers, you'll need to find someplace to hide while you clean the mansion.

The clock’s a-tickin’

In Midnight Maid Night, you take on the role of Ruth who works for the local cleaning service Midnight Maids. At two in the morning, your service is needed in helping clear up a big and ancient estate. Due to your financial needs, you decide to check out the mansion. When you first start working, you'll run into Joseph, the owner’s son, who warns you about the dangers inside.

If you want to know when you are getting close to danger, just look for the blue candles. As the daylight fades, you should leave and seek cover as after the lights shift, there won't be much of a window of opportunity to hide. To avoid the watchful gaze of the old homeowner of the house, it is not difficult to locate secluded spots in any of the rooms.

Due to the game being small and light-coded, it will run smoothly which is a win on anyone’s book. The plot is highly engaging, and each of the characters is developed to a satisfying degree. However, compared to the developer’s other games, the difficulty spike is slow to start, which can mess up your rhythm as you navigate the map each time.

A midnight to remember

Midnight Maid Night has a weird difficulty spike, but on the whole, the game's plot and the details that accompany it are really well-crafted and thought of. Plus, it has a checkpoint-based save system. Those who are interested in playing games that are frightening and suspenseful without straining their devices to the limits of their technical capabilities can consider playing this.
