Meet Protect is an extension that will help protect you from accidental microphone and camera openings.

It is an extension for Google Meet. You can disable the microphone hotkeys (Ctrl+D) and (Ctrl+E) by going to the Options page of the Chrome extension.

The hotkeys will be disabled when the tab is switched.

It also includes a feature that mutes your microphone when it is silent for an extended period.

This feature protects you from accidentally starting a meeting with your microphone turned on.

Meet Protect will display a pop-up message every time the mic or cam is opened.
