Although expressing gratitude on a daily basis could feel like another chore, I hope to persuade you that the benefits of gratitude much surpass the short amount of time it takes to do so. There are so many good reasons to practice mindful thankfulness!

Our spiritual eyes are opened by gratitude. Giving thanks to God has a lovely cycle: the more we praise Him, the more we notice His work in and around us. Gratitude enables us to perceive God's presence, His close attention, and His impeccable timing. 

We are advised to count our blessings rather than our possessions in order to reduce the worry keeping us awake at night. Gratitude enables us to recognize how God is at work in all of our circumstances. And God says that when we give him thanks, He bestows on us an extraordinary peace.
