Lamina Island is an action game. It is an adventure game that blends exploration, animal collecting, potion crafting, and fantasy elements to create a unique experience. Players assist the legendary hero trainer Evolym as she mentors a new student, the mage Neemu, who has been cursed into a slime body. You play as the Lamina, a group of mystical creatures, helping Evolym gather resources and animals from various biomes to aid in training Neemu. 

Lamina Island offers a rich variety of activities, from collecting over 90 different animals to brewing potions in a fun alchemy minigame.  

From potions to pets 

In Lamina Island, each animal you find contributes to your potion-making by providing ingredients, and as you explore new biomes, you unlock more resources to expand your capabilities. The potions you create are used to teach Neemu magic, and you can also sell them to fund further exploration and island expansion. Here, you’ll also explore the biomes for ghosts, who are past heroes trained by Evolym.  

Each ghost has a unique story, and as they follow you back to your den, they add personality and depth to the game. You can even build homes for the ghosts and customize your underground den, adding another layer of creativity to the game. The game also features split-screen co-op, allowing you to team up with a friend to explore the island or brew potions together.  

Mind control abilities and the power to possess animals add even more depth, allowing players to control various creatures to complete tasks. However, the potion-making process can become repetitive over time. Limited combat or action elements may not appeal to all players. Ghost mechanics, while fun, might feel underutilized for some. Co-op mode is limited to split-screen, restricting online multiplayer options.
