A vengeful soldier's journey
Labyrinth Of The Demon King is a premium action game with puzzle elements. It is a first-person dungeon-crawling roguelike inviting you into a world of treacherous mazes filled with traps, puzzles, and deadly enemies. You are a soldier tasked to kill the Demon King who betrayed and murdered your lord.
Labyrinth Of The Demon King is set in feudal Japan, featuring an immersive vintage, gloomy art style represented gorgeously and horrifically. You can use a range of weapons—from katanas to muskets—to defeat your enemies. This is a horror title, so prepare yourself to see themes of violence, blood, and gore.
Battling demons in a retro-feudal world
In Labyrinth Of The Demon King, you'll delve into a haunting, shadowy world inspired by feudal Japan, vividly brought to life with a striking retro-grim art style and dither filters. Your mission is to traverse the labyrinth's dark and twisted corridors, battling relentless demon foes as you carve your path to victory. Your weapons, skill, resources, and stamina are your reliable companions in this journey.
You can arm yourself with a variety of weapons, such as bows, katanas, muskets, and naginatas, as you face formidable foes. However, be aware that the game contains mature themes like gore, blood, violence, and intense scenes that are not suitable for all players. The first-person survival is still in active development, though the developers are listening to user reports and have already planned upcoming patches.
Uncover the mysteries behind every maze
The visual elements in the Labyrinth Of The Demon King are rendered with dither filters, while violence is heavily stylized in low-poly format to reduce their impact on gamers. Enemies can range from different Yokai of ancient myth to more terrible abominations, all dwelling in sinister rooms and passages. Scary as they are, you must steel yourself and brave the dark corners to find hidden resources.
On top of numerous weapons at your disposal, you can also find armors and talismans in twisted mazes. These items can significantly influence your survival and luck in every combat. Although combat is the main mechanic, many areas are full of puzzles that demand a clever mind. Your courage to explore every nook and cranny of each maze can unlock critical clues in solving these enigmas.
Latest hotfix dropped
In the latest update of Labyrinth Of The Demon King, the developers included several hotfixes and improvements related to performance and gaming experience. New frame rate cap options have been added for smoother gameplay and responsiveness. Very high frame rates can lead to weird behaviors in-game, so the team added a pop-up warning about it. The exact values related to such behaviors were not revealed, however.
When entering an exterior cell, the torch being unequipped is now disabled. If you use the quick equip torch button, the lantern takes priority if you purchased the item. The official translated terms for placeholder names are now fixed. The spelling error in Kings Court Puzzle is now resolved. The issue where the status effects wouldn’t show the stack amounts in certain languages is also fixed.
Excellent addition to your gaming collection
Labyrinth Of The Demon King is a thrilling dungeon crawler packed with high-octane combat and mind-bending puzzles set in feudal Japan. Despite the gore and violence featured in this game, it is an excellent addition to your collection. The adrenaline and creativity are rich and palpable in each corridor you go through. Plus, the dev team’s recent update suggests a definitive future for this title.
