LABYRINTH - Derelict Abyss is a free video game created by independent developer June Flower. This game will have you go on an adventure inside an ancient aetheral place with a mysterious past. You will have to explore rooms—and even find secret ones—to look for relics. These relics will serve as your key to leave the place. However, this is easier said than done. The game will leave you alone in the labyrinth with no help other than the in-game hint system. 

Find the relics and talk to the spirits

Unlike other exploration games, LABYRINTH - Derelict Abyss offers its players complete freedom. You can explore the room in any order you want without restrictions. There will also be no time limit, so you can pick your own pace and complete the game in your own time. However, in line with this freedom, the game does not provide a map or guide as you explore. With this, you will probably end up exploring rooms you have already visited. There is a hint system that you are required to use, but it won’t really spoonfeed you with the help that you need. 

As noted, the game needs you to find relics, which serves as your key to leaving the labyrinth. These relics are the spirits of those that used to be. With every relic found, you can talk to these spirits and get clues as to how to proceed. Once you found all the relics, you need to go to the final room where you can get instructions for the final deed that will get you out of this mysterious place. 

This game offers players a highly-detailed environment. There are plenty of creepy and unsettling rooms that you need to explore. Add in great suspenseful music and you will be on the edge of your seat as you play. However, once you get past the horror element of the game, you will find that there is actually not much to do. All you will do is walk aimlessly as you look for the relics. There is also no reward system. At the end of the day, there is no replay value to this game. 

Fun but not that great

Overall, LABYRINTH - Derelict Abyss is a fun casual game to play if you are into exploration. The game offers a really great world to explore. Moreover, the pacing and storytelling are both on-point. However, underneath the great art style, there is nothing much in the game—which lessens its replay value.
