Live out your Viking fantasy

Sand Sailor Studio's ASKA is a premium open-world survival craft game. Its exciting and adventure-filled gameplay allows you to build the ultimate Viking settlement and survive with your villagers. You will dock your ship in a strange, ever-changing world, make it your own, and learn its secrets.

In ASKA, you work together to build a self-sustaining Viking tribe by working, crafting, sailing, hunting, and fighting. From a third-person perspective, command and organize your villagers, work and fight alongside them, and attend to their every need. The same intense action you experience in Rust and Dying Light is also expected here.

Experience a realistic and dynamic world

ASKA permits up to four players to work together to command villagers as they build their tribe from the ground up, hunt for resources, and survive the ancient threat that winter brings. You can assign jobs to each villager as they contribute to the tribe and leave their mark on the settlement. As your village grows, you can build workshops, mines, farms, castles, and defenses to keep enemies at bay.

You can sail your own customizable Viking ship around the world, discovering new lands and establishing outposts. Create a self-sufficient Viking empire by establishing supply lines between settlements. You can also find hidden caves and other incredible areas around the world, all of which are brimming with loot and valuable resources. Explore a fantastical, entirely procedurally generated world full of secrets, landmarks, and threats, making each session dynamic and fresh.

The game lets you experience a realistic and dynamic weather system all over the world, with survival priorities shifting as seasons change. You will also engage in exciting skill-based combat against a variety of mythical enemies. You can personalize your buildings with functional furniture and decorative items. Houses, workshops, defenses, etc.— you control the design of your village and economy. However, many game experts find its graphics lacking so far.

Demo fixes ahead of Early Access release

In anticipation of ASKA’s official Early Access release, its developer studio has been hard at work refining some details of its demo. Most notably, balance changes have been implemented on gathering proficiency as well as item decay and durability. Players can also now customize their characters from the ‘New Game’ and ‘Join’ pages. Meanwhile, a forced 60 FPS limit has been applied on the main menu to limit power consumption.

There are new settings for Chromatic Aberration and Screen Space Reflections, as well, and the color of blood in-game has been adjusted for a better appearance. On the other hand, the ‘Generate Seed’ button error has been fixed. Main menu bugs have been squashed, too. As for localization, the German translation errors have been amended, and the formatting for overflowing localized text in the Settings menu was adjusted.

Construct jaw-dropping Viking villages

ASKA is a premium open-world survival craft game in which you can be a tribe leader and assign different jobs to each of the villagers. Training your villagers will improve their abilities in battle and in their chosen profession. Skilled blacksmiths will benefit your tribe in a variety of ways, while skilled hunters will be able to explore further into the world and gather additional materials. It’s highly recommended.
