Kingdom's Deck, developed by Ivan Aco and published by Rogue Duck Interactive for PC, is an empire simulation in which players build structures during the day to create the most formidable kingdom and face off against various invading external factions at nighttime.  

Blending numerous gameplay mechanics, such as city-building, base-building, roguelike deckbuilding, tower defense, survival, resource management, and colony sim, Kingdom's Deck offers a playthrough centered around planning, adapting, and surviving. This turn-based tactic title is set in a vibrant medieval fantasy world and explores important themes, including governance, growth, and innovation. 

Become a king 

In Kingdom's Deck, the role of the king is yours for the taking. And with it, every burden of a king falls upon you. That includes the fate of the realm in this fantasy world. Do not fret, though, as cards with unique properties, including food production, resources, and fortifications, serve as guidance to build the kingdom you have always wanted. 

As you build your empire, strengthen your military forces’ offense to the best of your abilities, as peace is nothing but a luxury in this world. While it is helpful to put up impenetrable defensive walls to protect your base, deploying a powerful army at the front lines ensures that you win every battle each night, leaving various invading enemies at your mercy. 

Should the army forces prove insufficient, utilize the offensive properties of spell cards that unleash devastating elemental attacks, such as fiery infernos and icy blasts, to either burn outside factions or slow and freeze them. However, this game has two crucial drawbacks that might deter players from playing, including crashing all the time and getting soft locks in the market. 

Strategy and survival 

Kingdom's Deck offers a unique blend of strategy and survival, combining city-building, roguelike deckbuilding, and tower defense in a captivating medieval fantasy setting. While players are tasked with building a powerful empire and defending against nighttime invaders, the game’s complexity and mechanics create a rewarding experience. However, technical issues like crashes and market soft locks may detract from its potential.
