King of Worlds is a free-to-play strategy that lets you collect, train, and fight with your heroes. In this idle game from 7SENSES, you get to experience different game modes such as puzzle-type adventure, multiplayer strategy similar to Clash of Clans, and even tower defense. Its character designs also draw from various mythological and historical characters from around the world.

With its premise and gameplay mechanics, King of Worlds feels like a crossover between Rise of Kingdoms: Lost Crusade and Heroes Legend: Idle RPG. However, it has a few servers, leading to lags and players from different areas combined together.

Good premise plagued by issues

In King of Worlds, you summon heroes that boost your army as you train them. From Isis, Lu Bu, to Alexander the Great, each of these special characters has unique skills that can help you gain an advantage in a variety of situations. Basically, you get to conquer the world. Each “area” is marked by a Wonder, based on real-world architectural marvels.

In terms of varied gameplay mechanics, the game offers different experiences for you to enjoy. From defending your walls against hordes of monsters to waging war against other players, you will not get bored from its content. However, its multiplayer world suffers from a lot of issues. For starters, there are a few servers, which makes it filled with players. Large alliances and stronger players also prey on solo beginners.

Also, the game is plagued by cheaters as users report lower-tier armies beating higher and rarer ones. Combine this with large alliances that bully smaller players whenever possible, and it makes it extremely difficult to survive. There are also instances where the game crashes when players try to find matches through the Arena mode. If you’re willing to invest with real-world money, though, you can easily rise through the ranks.

Promising but plagued with issues

King of Worlds has a great character design and a promising premise, combining different gameplay experiences into one. Unfortunately, it has no system in place to prevent activities that drastically affect player experience. Its lack of servers, for example, forces players–both experienced and new–to be clustered together and offers no protection against preying between players. Still, should the devs resolve these issues, it can be enjoyable for everyone.
