The app is part of the Consumer Council Think Chemistry, which is a joint project of the European Union’s Food Safety Agency and the European Environment Agency. This project aims to provide consumers with a reliable, easy-to-use database of ingredients in cosmetic and personal care products. 

We have developed the app to make it easier for consumers to identify whether or not a product contains a potentially harmful substance. Our approach is to create a database of all ingredients that have been identified as being problematic in the European Union. If a product contains an ingredient that is not listed in our database, the app will display a warning message.

We are working to update our database with new ingredients every week.
