Just Arms is a premium action game that was developed by Icehelm for PC. It is a physics-based platformer wherein players take control of a character without legs. Using only their arms, they will need to climb to the top to meet a witch who can help restore their limbs back.

Just like with Mighty Fling or Deepest Sword, the gameplay in Just Arms relies heavily on precision and using physics to get anywhere in the game. Players will need to plan moves carefully as mistakes can cost a lot of progress and requires having to start all over again.

What is it about?

Just Arms starts out after your character has awoken from a terrible and unfortunate fall. You realize you no longer have legs to stand on. Confused and in disarray, you remember a tale about a powerful witch who is able to regrow limbs back. This prompts you to go on an adventure, scaling platforms and overcoming obstacles in a quest to restore what you lost.

In Just Arms, you only have the power of your arms to help move. Being a physics-based game, there is a certain level of planning and precision needed here. You first need to charge up your arms by spinning them. Then, you will have to aim and calculate your trajectory before release and rely on the force of your punches to propel you towards the opposite direction.

You have multiple environments to explore, skins to unlock, and take part in PVP speed runs. As is the case with most physics-based platformers, there's a steep difficulty curve here. Controls and the overall responsiveness tend to lag and stutter at times, though, resulting in mistakes that would otherwise not have happened. Lastly, it is still in Early Access, so development is ongoing.

Keep on pushing forward

Overall, Just Arms is a fun little platformer that will provide plenty of challenge if you're willing to take it on. While it's still rough around the edges, most of its issues will probably be addressed by the time it comes out of Early Access. This is a game that is worth checking out and keeping tabs on. Recommended.
