Journey of Reincarnation blends roguelike challenge with auto-battling simplicity, all wrapped in charming NES-style visuals and chiptune music. Players reincarnate into a fantasy realm, customizing their party and exploring randomized dungeons. Although minimal in story delivery, this RPG offers nostalgic style and mechanical depth to make a surprisingly compelling mix. 

Auto-battles, deep builds, and retro vibes 

Combat in Journey of Reincarnation is fully automatic, but players strategically influence outcomes by equipping “Jewels” that alter attacks, defense, and skills. Each class has distinct limitations. Chain bonuses and magical Chain Bursts add excitement to encounters. The musical score, featuring over 20 retro-inspired tracks, enhances the immersive old-school feel. 

Currently Japanese-only, the game’s English translation is planned but still unavailable, which can be frustrating to non-Japanese speakers. Its RPG Maker MV foundation also means that visual variety and UI are limited. Still, it has tactical customization, fast runs (2–3 hours per ending), and added difficulty options.
