Janosik 2: Prologue is a free adventure game for PC developed by Onix Games. It's the sequel to the original precision platformer, Janosik featuring a standalone story that follows a maiden protagonist as her preparation for a date is interrupted by a dastardly duo who now stands in her way. 

Like the original Janosik game, the Janosik 2: Prologue boasts charming retro pixel art and graphics. Players get to explore its large Metroidvania-style world map as they face all kinds of challenges. It also serves as a prologue to Janosik 2 and a preview of what players can expect gameplay-wise. 

Date interrupted 

The original Janosik game offered an engaging and challenging precision platforming gameplay wrapped inside a charming fantasy world and characters. A few years later, there's now a sequel in Janosik 2, and you can even get a preview of it with Janosik 2: Prologue. It centers around the titular hero's beloved, Janka, whose preparation for a date is interrupted by Baron de Blonde and Countess Bathory. 

With the dastardly duo getting in the way, you must overcome various platforming challenges and traps, as well as face all kinds of enemies in order to make your date. To help with the journey, utilize a unique skill set that lets you do things like air dash, freezing enemies, wall climbing, and more. Visit and explore multiple biomes as you discover hidden secrets and treasures. 

There is a total of eight levels to experience in this version, all distinct from one another and boasts a unique set of challenges and enemies to face. Now, as mentioned earlier, this is just a prologue/preview to the full version of the game. Unfortunately, there is no specific release date for it yet, so you will have to wait for a while longer. 

A worthy sequel 

If you like the original Janosik game and have been wanting more, the wait is finally over as Janosik 2 has become official. You can get a preview of what it will be like with the Janosik 2: Prologue version, and it's very much a must-play if you're a long-time fan.
