Intermountain Connect Care is an Android app that allows patients to have virtual urgent care visits with Intermountain Healthcare clinicians using their mobile devices. For only $69 per visit, the app provides a convenient and affordable way to receive care for minor symptoms such as cold or flu symptoms, sinus pain, sore throat, painful urination, a minor rash or skin issue, or upset stomach. The app is designed to provide care to patients, and many insurance plans are accepted.

The clinicians providing care through the app are highly-trained, board certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants with years of experience in urgent care, clinics, and hospitals. They are specially trained to provide care using telehealth, and can diagnose, suggest follow-up, and prescribe medication when appropriate. Additionally, the results of the virtual visit are incorporated into the patient's medical record, and their doctor can review the information and use it in their overall care plan. However, patients should be aware that Connect Care is not appropriate for all conditions, and if they are experiencing life-threatening medical emergencies or certain symptoms, they should go to the nearest emergency room.
