It utilizes the same mechanics as the first title, incorporating tactics, strategy, and combat into a deeper and more refined roguelike experience.

In Indies' Lies 2: Fire Seed, the overarching storyline of the series advances, further deepening the fusion of hardcore strategy and deep roguelite progression, adding new layers of lore, fresh gameplay twists, and expanded customization options that make each playthrough more engaging than the last. It also integrates tactical planning for more powerful scaling that can lead to more destructive outcomes for foes. 

However, similar to the first title, this one also allows you to form a three-man squad from a selection of unique heroes, each with distinct abilities, equipment, and roles, to lead them to glory. The archetypes, which include ranged, melee, and crowd control heroes, bring something to the table, allowing one to form a tactic that is unique to a specific playstyle. 

The journey is full of surprises, as the game features randomized maps, enemies, and events. Given this unpredictability, you must utilize different resources to win battles, including using terrains as weapons, experimenting with skill synergy chains, and prioritizing possible dynamic threats. However, although gameplay is promising, it suffers from being buggy and unbalanced, which can disrupt the overall experience and frustrate players.

While its deep mechanics, diverse heroes, and expanded world provide hours of engaging gameplay, bugs and balance issues can occasionally interrupt the experience.
