A brief yet engaging adventure-oriented RPG

Under the Witch’s Trial is an adventure-based role-playing game developed and published by a team of independent developers, including Foleso, Teasugarr, Shibalist, PuppetPasta, and JT. Here, you step into the shoes of a character who reincarnates in the game after leaving it a critical review.

A dark reincarnation tale

Under the Witch’s Trial begins with you reincarnating as August, a doomed minor villain. Marked for death by the formidable Kuro and tempted by a sadistic villainess, you must outmaneuver fate. Across roughly an hour of playtime, your decisions determine whether you survive or fall victim to tragedy.

The experience includes two distinct endings and several story variations that encourage replaying different paths. A bisexual main character and layered supporting cast add nuance to the dark narrative. Every choice carries weight, shaping alliances and consequences. However, the brief runtime and focused scale can feel limiting for some players.

Compact and engaging

Overall, Under the Witch’s Trial delivers a compact yet engaging narrative driven by meaningful choices and dark intrigue. Its branching paths and two endings encourage replayability, while its unique premise keeps the tension high throughout. Although the short runtime may limit deeper exploration, the experience remains memorable and thoughtfully crafted.
