Improved Follower Dialogue - Lydia is a mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that completely overhauls the NPC character dialogue for Lydia. It also changes Lydia’s behavior regarding her dialogue and gives Lydia new dialogue for certain situations. This mod does not affect the gameplay.

This free Nexus mod is an unofficial build, so Bethesda does not provide support. It exclusively affects Lydia's character dialogue, but unlike similar mods like Serana Dialogue Edit, this mod completely revoices the character by using a new professional voice actor.

Revoiced with new dialogue

Lydia is the first follower that most players will meet in the game. As such, she can follow the player throughout almost the entire game. In addition, this mod replaces her voicework with dialogue recorded by a completely new voice actor to make the gaming world more authentic and unique.

Comments and conversations

After installing this mod, Lydia will occasionally make random comments regarding the player's surroundings, armor, and other external factors. She can also initiate conversations with the player and start conversations with certain NPCs, including Serana and Mjoll the Lioness.

Actor-voiced dialogue

While many Skyrim mods add new dialogue to the game by splicing together existing dialogue lines, this mod does not do that. Instead, Lydia's new dialogue is completely revoiced by Leebeewilly, a professional YouTube voice actor.

Causes compatibility issues

Improved Follower Dialogue - Lydia is a relatively simple mod. However, compatibility issues can still arise. For example, if the mod is used with other mods that alter Lydia's NPC voice recordings, it can cause issues like turning Lydia mute.
