Mystery Case Files: Shadow Lake Collector's Edition
Solve the mystery of Shadow Lake in a new free-to-play Collector's Edition
A hidden-object game with an attached mystery story
House Escape starts out with a short story, and then leads you through a spooky house via a click-to-find hidden-object game. The aim is to complete each room by finding all the objects and therefore progressing the game forwards.
House Escape takes you through a short introductory text-based story and then asks you to find a few hidden objects on a list. Find them and you move on to another room with a connecting story. After completing the introductory levels, you are given a link where you must buy the rest of the game. The game allows you to click anywhere, but it makes you wait one second between clicks so you cannot spam the screen and cheat your way to winning.
The graphics are passable for a hidden-object game, but it lacked the excitement and mystery that the promotional content promised. The game has extra fees once you have completed the introductory levels. When you pay first time, you only pay for the first part of the game, and are then expected to follow a link to purchase the premium game content. It is an overpriced and overly short game.
