Crash, survive, and escape in this action-packed title

Hostile Lands is a premium top-down shooter where a simple accident turns into a battle for survival. When a mission goes awry and your ship crashes into enemy territory, chaos is only the beginning. With rogue elements, distinctive combat, and fast-paced action, it keeps players on edge. Developed by Perceiving Light, it’s available on PC in Early Access.

In Hostile Lands, as a lone survivor, you must navigate through seven varied environments filled with hostile forces, rescue crewmates, and discover the true reason behind your crash. Each level is procedurally generated, ensuring no two runs feel the same.

A guns-blazing adventure

What sets Hostile Lands apart from other top-down roguelike action shooter games is its arsenal—literally. Players can collect and wield eight different types of weapons, ranging from classic shotguns and pistols to more exotic choices like blade guns and crossbows. The thrill of finding a rare gun or adapting to unexpected loadouts gives every run a fresh and engaging feel.

Adding even more depth to the experience are the playable characters in the game, each equipped with their own unique active skills and passive buffs. In this action survival game, whether you prefer blasting through enemies with Robert’s firepower or manipulating minds with Maria’s psychic assault, the game supports multiple playstyles. This character variety encourages experimentation and enhances replay value.

Moreover, progression here is built for roguelike fans. “Tech” points earned during each session can be spent on permanent upgrades, giving a satisfying sense of advancement even after defeat. With Normal, Hard, and Survival modes, the game accommodates both newcomers and veterans alike, offering escalating levels of intensity and enemy variety. However, despite procedural generation, the core gameplay can feel repetitive over extended sessions.

A crash worth surviving

In conclusion, Hostile Lands doesn’t just challenge your aim as a player—it also tests your strategy, adaptability, and persistence. With randomized levels, powerful gear, and deep character customization, it’s a chaotic, satisfying shooter that begs for one more run. Whether you’re in it for the loot, the challenge, or the thrill of survival, this is one alien world worth diving into.
