Like in the original game, this version still follows the story of Ana, a wartime phone operator who lost her sister. When she receives a letter one day about her position, which used to be full of pride but gradually became just another spot to fill, now temporarily out of function due to repairs on her post, she explores the world while navigating grief and loss. 

While Ana, whom you step into the shoes of, can interact with various characters, this game features a linear storyline with no options and freedom, making the overall experience passive. It presents a compelling and engaging narrative with average pacing that focuses on Ana's journey and interactions with those around her, although occasional typographical errors throughout the playthrough are present.
