Heartbeat allows you and your friends to listen to the same Spotify tunes at the same time in real-time. They are hearing what you are hearing when you listen to your music. The app only has one function, which is to allow friends to share music, but there nothing wrong with an app having just one function so long as the function works, which it does in this case.

Share your music without sharing your headphones

The Heartbeat app was not created to help people steal music, it was created to help people share music that they are listening to. The developers saw how often people shared headphones so that they could both hear the same song at the same time. Instead of sharing headphones, both users download and install the Heartbeat app. One person plays the song on Spotify and it is transmitted to their friends who are connected by the app.

A simple music-sharing app for friends

The app is only useful for people who have friends who wish to share their music while they are listening to it. The developers also say it is handy for people with long-distance relationships because they are able to listen to the same songs even though they are miles apart. You can choose to listen or share, it is as easy as that. Friends and long-distance Spotify users may enjoy this app.
