HB Phonological Awareness is an iPad app developed by Super Duper Inc., designed for student use in schools and districts with access to HearBuilder. This award-winning software offers a research-based approach to improving phonological awareness and listening skills. Students engage with the program by earning instruments and band members to form the rock band “The Phonemix” while practicing skills like sentence segmentation, syllable blending, rhyming, and phoneme manipulation.

The program features nine targeted phonological awareness skills, a multi-level structure that increases in difficulty, and provides crucial listening and sound awareness training for reading. It caters to children with varying skill levels, monitors progress, and offers frequent feedback to support learning and development.
