Haunted Warehouse is a free adventure video game wherein you have to escape a creepy and abandoned warehouse. Developed by The Digital Media House, this virtual reality game features the classic survival horror gameplay mechanics of exploring and gathering key items in order to successfully escape a location.

Similar to Siren Head: Retribution and Slenderman, Haunted Warehouse has you going around a creepy area just to collect the required items. The game relies on the danger of darkness as you need to carefully scrutinize your surroundings to find what you’re looking for.

You’re not alone

Haunted Warehouse is the sequel to Haunted Mountain, which has the same premise but in a different setting. Here, you awaken to find yourself in a dark and abandoned warehouse of sorts. You only have a flashlight on hand and the goal is to find barrels that contain fuel to power a generator. It’s not clear at the start how many you need but it’ll be apparent soon enough.

Once you find the generator, it will display “0/100” on its glowing screen. Each barrel yields 25 so you just need to find four of them in the warehouse. However, the place is dark and full of twists and turns—and you can only carry one barrel at a time. The maze-like path can be disorienting with just your flashlight and some distant lights as your light source. 

You also have to be very careful as you explore since making any noise will attract a deadly creature to your location. It’s game over once it attacks you. Things get more difficult, as well, since certain spots in the map will automatically trigger a noise regardless of how careful you are. It’s only too bad that you can’t adjust the visual settings to make it less dark.

Could use some settings

All in all, Haunted Warehouse is a short VR game but it’s got enough horror elements to keep you engaged all throughout. While there are no configuration options in-game, the gameplay is simple enough that it’s just a matter of trial and error to get your victory and eventually escape the warehouse. This game can be played with the Oculus Rift and the Oculus Quest.
