3D single-player adventure
Half-demon Kamia is a premium role-playing game from wlend. This fantasy RPG experience puts you in the shoes of a half-demon wanderer, shunned by both sides. Choose your weapon of choice, fight against everyone else, and find out the truth about your heritage. Its varied set designs and character models make it a fun experience.
Its full 3D visuals and intuitive user interface make Half-demon Kamia a lower-quality alternative for open-world games such as Elden Ring or The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Its price reflects its quality, although some players have concerns with some of the game’s mechanics.
Find your place in the world
Half-demon Kamia is set in a chaotic world populated by humans as well as other kinds of creatures. As mentioned, you play as Kamia, a half-human, half-demon spawn who is considered a pariah by everyone. This sets up your adventure, going through human towns, goblin camps, and other types of habitats where you will hone your skills and fight to survive.
In terms of game design, it feels like an MMORPG. You have the standard character and set designs, the skill and combat animations, and even the quest progression. This makes some players look for a multiplayer aspect, although it’s limited only to a single-player adventure with loose story progression. The sound effects and background music are nothing extraordinary, although they do help in differentiating one area from the next.
The main problem with the game is that it feels largely incomplete. Players have reported issues such as the combat system not working. Normal attacks don’t work on enemies and they can damage you in return, leaving the player unable to progress. Also, as you progress, you experience more bugs in terms of stage design and in-game physics.
A promising yet incomplete game
Overall, Half-demon Kamia still needs a couple of reworks to make its concept work. It could leverage its outcast concept a lot better, plus break away from MMORPG conventions to help make it stand out. More importantly, it should complete its single-player campaign, with optimization aspects ironed out. As it is, it’s not worth the price and you’d fare better looking for another game in the genre.
