Gunlocked 2 is a premium action game for PC developed by FromLefcourt. It is the highly anticipated sequel to the sci-fi roguelike shoot ‘em up adventure game Gunlocked. Players will once again pilot a unique roster of advanced space fighter ships as they take on waves of alien enemies.

Staying true to the original Gunlocked game, Gunlocked 2 emphasizes movement and aiming to land shots on enemies successfully. It still boasts extensive customization options that allow players to combine different weapons, skills, and augmentations to create unique playstyles to take on various enemy types and battle situations.

The first Gunlocked game offered a unique experience that combines shmup mechanics with roguelike elements for fun and unpredictable gameplay. What made it stand out was the fact that you don’t aim in the traditional sense and instead, move to line up your reticle to hit enemies. Now comes a sequel in the form of Gunlocked 2, looking to build upon the core foundation of its predecessor.

Movement is still the name of the game in Gunlocked 2. Still, the controls have been refined with the addition of an Air Brake for more precise positioning, 360-degree movements, and a new dodge ability to escape tricky situations. The pilot roster has also been expanded with recruits, each with unique skills and upgrade paths to unlock. Experiments with different combinations to create unique ship builds for your runs.

What’s more, there are now branching paths that randomly open up for you, making the experience more immersive by letting you experience different battlefields and environments in a single run. You can also tweak difficulty modifiers to tailor the experience to your level to have a better time playing. The only thing to note is that the game is still in Early Access, so it’s not complete yet.
