Gotham Knights is a premium action title for PC by Warner Bros. Games Montreal. It's a superhero game based on the popular DC comic book character Batman. Set in the fictional city of Gotham, players will assume the role of one of his descendants in the aftermath of his mysterious death.

Joining the ranks of Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Origins, Gotham Knights is made by the same developer. While it's set in the same universe, it will have an original new story that fans can look forward to on its Oct. 26, 2022 release.

The aftermath

Gotham Knights is set in the fictional world of Gotham City, where the Dark Knight is dead. With its streets being swept up by the criminal underworld, it is now up to the Batman Family to protect the citizens, help the cops restore peace and order to the city, and put fear into the hearts of its gallery of villains, like their father-figure once did.

In Gotham Knights, you get to choose to be one of Batman's descendants and successors, namely Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, or Robin. Each one has its own unique play style and abilities. You can switch among them and level them up to increase their effectiveness in combat situations. There is a vast open map of the city that you can explore using a variety of vehicles like the Batcycle.

Play the campaign solo or with a friend via a two-player co-op mode, with the second player able to drop in and out of your game freely. As of this writing, there are some months left to go before its October 26, 2022 release. You can opt to prepurchase it now and you will get the in-game bonus in the form of the 233 Kustom Batcycle Skin.

Carrying on the torch

The wait is almost over as you finally get to play a new Batman game. Being made by the same folks who did the Arkham series, you can expect the same level of quality and gameplay as their previous outings. The premise alone is enough to entice any player, and the focus shifts to other members of the Batman Family this time around.
