A friendship-first co-op adventure where you don’t let go

GooNECT√2 is a two-player co-op action-adventure game, built around a wonderfully simple rule: two players must hold hands until they reach the goal. It is the sequel to the Japan-exclusive Goonect, and it expands the original idea into a vibrant 3D world filled with randomly generated stages, platforming challenges, obstacles, and physics-based teamwork.

Stretchy arms, random stages, and the chaos of shared control

GooNECT√2 asks two players to navigate unlimited, randomly generated stages across eight difficulty levels, which gives the game more replay value than a fixed set of short puzzle rooms. Obstacles such as towering wooden blocks, giant basketballs, and strong wind gusts force players to think about positioning and movement rather than simply rushing forward. However, the solo experience feels awkward

The game also supports both couch co-op and online co-op, which is important for a title built around friendship and communication. Local play gives it that classic “same-room chaos” appeal, while online play lets players team up with someone remotely. It also has split-screen co-op, cross-platform multiplayer, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing support. Although physics can be chaotic at times.

A chaotic co-op adventure built around teamwork

GooNECT√2 turns a simple hand-holding mechanic into a fun and unpredictable co-op experience. The randomly generated stages and multiplayer support give the game strong replay value. While the awkward solo mode and sometimes chaotic physics can cause frustration, the game’s charm comes from the laughter, coordination, and shared problem-solving created through cooperative play.
