Gnosia, developed by Petit Depotto, is a sci-fi role-playing game where players identify hidden threats aboard a spaceship. It adapts social-deduction mechanics, similar to Mafia or werewolf, into a single-player experience by replacing human players with AI NPCs. The game utilizes a loop system where players engage in short rounds of debate and investigation to uncover the overarching mystery.

AI-driven core mechanics

The game features 14 unique NPCs, each with distinct logic patterns and personalities. Players influence these debates using RPG-style statistics such as Charisma, Intuition, and Logic. As these statistics level up, players unlock commands that they can utilize to sway the crew’s overall opinion. With each loop, roles are flexible, allowing players to act as a Crew Member, Gnosia, Engineer, Doctor, or Guardian Angel randomly with each round.

Short loop progressions and replayable narrative loops

Gameplay is structured into sessions lasting 5–15 minutes each. Progress is measured by Notes collected on each character, which are only unlocked by meeting specific conditions during a loop. This structure encourages repeated play, as uncovering the True Ending requires the player to trigger unique character events across hundreds of loops. Additionally, players can customize each round by adjusting the number of participants and the number of Gnosia present.
