FurnCap is a dreamy third-person adventure game where you explore a colorful world, filled with earth-like houses, peculiar structures, and cute alien characters. It’s a highly relaxing game where you can just enjoy the pleasant theme of the gameplay and help out the locals by creating the furniture they need.

This is the first-ever game created by Tovan, an indie developer, but even so, the game manages to provide players with a satisfying experience. The gameplay is straightforward and there are no enemies or antagonists. Just a calm adventure and a small helping hand by a robot with a jetpack.

Simple but a little vague

FurnCap immediately starts off with a robot character played by you and a curious-looking alien blocking the way. Your goal is to create furniture for the inhabitants of this open world by finding blueprints so you can make whatever the locals need. Initially, however, this goal is very vague, so it can be really confusing how you can exactly build furnitures.

Once you figure that out, everything is pretty straightforward from there. Each piece of furniture you discover and create will come in tiny capsules, which you can also use to fill your house with. The robot has a jetpack that makes your exploration cooler and more fun. You’ll also earn cash from helping locals, which you use in a machine where you get upgrades that make exploration better.

Moreover, like the game itself, the controls are just as simple. Your robot character moves using WASD keys and jumps with the spacebar. The colors of the pieces of furniture are also editable, so you have full control over what your house will look like. Additionally, the game is savable, so you don’t have to worry about losing progress. However, the game is quite short and easy to finish.

A peaceful pass time

To top it all off, FurnCap is a calm adventure game with no enemies. The objective is as simple as exploring the area and helping NPCs out with their needs. While the goal is vague at first and the entire game can be finished in one sitting, it’s still an enjoyable and peaceful game to pass the time. The graphics are also simple, so the game doesn’t require a top-of-the-line system.
