A fantasy RPG of rivalries, gods, and turn-based battles
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a premium role-playing game centered on a high-stakes struggle to save a realm. Four heroes enter a contest where the sole winner gains a single wish, each driven by private motives that shape their journey. As their paths cross, you lead them through rivalries and turn-based battles where careful planning makes all the difference.
Building on what made Fire Emblem: Three Houses work, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave pairs character-driven storytelling with deep tactical combat. Balancing individual motives with grid-based warfare, you will guide these formidable fighters across a world on the brink of ruin.
Four heroes, one wish, and a world on the line
In Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, fighters from across the land gather in Dagsion, the capital of the Dagdan Empire, to compete in the Heroic Games. The winner earns a single wish, but four contestants have goals that reach beyond the competition. Cai wants to free his imprisoned father, Dietrich seeks a stronger opponent, Queen Theodora fights for her homeland's dream, and Leda pursues revenge.
Combat takes place on grid-based maps where you command units, exploit enemy weaknesses, and plan each move. Heroes can unleash powerful Blaze Arts at the cost of HP, while filling the Blaze Gauge halfway grants a boost. Fill it completely, though, and Burst removes the bonuses and halves the hero's maximum HP. Divine Blessings offer further advantages, with upgrades unlocking effects, such as temporary damage reduction.
Between matches, Dagsion lets you recruit allies, train at the training ground, upgrade Blessings at temples, and build friendships at inns. You can also explore the world map to complete quests and collect resources. Dungeons offer more materials and treasure, while some Heroic Games matches introduce special rules or terrain. However, with several combat systems to learn and manage, the game may take time to get used to.
Strategy pick with a learning curve
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a good fit for players who enjoy tactical RPGs with a strong focus on characters and their stories. The mix of battles, exploration, and activities in Dagsion gives you reasons to keep moving between matches, while the different combat systems add some depth. Still, there's a fair bit to learn before everything clicks, so newcomers may need patience as they get used to its mechanics.
