FileWave Engage Extension is a free Chrome add-on developed by FileWave (Europe) GmbH. It is designed to work in conjunction with the FileWave Engage system, bringing the classroom experience to Chrome OS.

With FileWave Engage Extension, teachers can easily share classroom content with students using Chromebooks. They can direct students to take polls or visit specific websites, ensuring immediate feedback and the ability to adjust instruction as needed. The extension also allows teachers to lock or "black out" student screens, keeping distractions hidden during instructional times. Additionally, teachers can enforce a specified tab to remain in front, keeping students focused on the desired content.

One of the key features of FileWave Engage Extension is content management. Teachers can centralize course content and present it to students in a week-by-week planner-view. They can use various systems like iTunes U, Google Drive, or personal websites to share content, without needing to inform students if the URLs change.

Another useful feature is the ability to create polls to check for student understanding. Teachers can quickly create and share quizzes, gaining immediate feedback and identifying students who may require additional help on specific concepts.

FileWave Engage Extension also allows teachers to send messages to selected students in their class, enabling communication without disrupting the concentration of other students.

Please note that Engage for Chrome OS does not support all FileWave Engage features.
