The simple life

Expanding on the standard Harvest Moon model, Farmer's Dynasty attempts to bring together a number of separate gameplay elements to create something new. Part farming sim, part RPG, and part reality simulator, the games shows a high level of promise and an impressive realistic graphical style. As an early access title, however, large amounts of features and general polish are absent. Character models are strange, mechanics are clunky, and the RPG elements feel stunted. Despite these shortcomings, Farmer's Dynasty is still in a very playable state. Enough has been added to the game for a basic play-through as long as players don't mind occasional crashes and bugs. The title also earns recommendations for its dedicated development team who continue to make regular updates and interact with their player-base.

Farmer's Dynasty is an interesting take on the farming simulator genre. The focus on real life and RPG elements combine well but a long development time is still ahead.
