In Fantastic Haven, you'll send your mages out to find points of interest and discover injured or endangered creatures. These creatures are brought back to your shelter where they are first placed in quarantine before being moved to a suitable habitat that meets their specific needs. Diplomacy plays a crucial role in the game. The local populations often prefer hunting these magical creatures as well. 

You must use your skills to convince them to live in harmony with magic. Your decisions in these negotiations will have lasting impacts on the game. Resource management is also key. You collect different types of ether, which are the game's currency and essential for building and maintaining your shelter. Conducting research helps you improve your facilities and care for the creatures better. 

Training your citizens to look after the magical creatures enhances the shelter's reputation and effectiveness. The ultimate goal is to rehabilitate the creatures and release them back into their natural environments, thereby gradually restoring magic to the world. As you succeed in one region, you can move on to others that need your help. However, the game’s complexity can be overwhelming for new players.
