Evochron Legacy offers freeform sandbox gameplay that gives you a number of varied objectives to achieve without confining you to a certain one. You may trade, fight, and explore the simulated universe. The aim of the game is to survive and complete missions to increase your wealth, your reputation and your ranking. There is no main story or aim, which means you can change the way you play without it affecting the overall outcome. The game delves a little deeper into the simulation side of the game than most space exploration games do. For example, you have to compensate for gravity, inertia, current velocity and current vectors when making your course corrections.
