Everholm is a premium role-playing game for PC developed by Chonky Loaf. This casual life simulator experience follows the story of a girl trying to find her lost sister who gets spirited away to a mysterious island. She sets out to uncover the secrets of this strange place while continuing her search. 

Similar to games like Fields of Mistria and Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, Everholm blends cozy farming gameplay with adventurous open-world exploration. Players will begin anew and build a home as they uncover secrets and find clues that will help them in their search for lost family.

The game centers around Lilly, who is searching for her lost sister, Melanie, who stumbles upon a magical portal. Drawn in, she enters and gets spirited away to the titular Everholm, a small island wherein all the residents know her. However, she has lost all her memories and must navigate this strange place and find out about its secrets while continuing her search. 

What makes Everholm stand out from its contemporaries is its open-ended gameplay, emphasizing interpersonal interactions. That means you can play it how you want, without pressure or constraints. However, behind its bright and serene facade hides secrets waiting to be uncovered. Gain the people's trust, build a new home, and reveal the darkest parts of the island with the help of the local witch. 

Setting aside all the delicate rapport building, there is also adventuring to be had. Delve deep into dungeons as you face monsters using various weapons for a chance to bring back precious loot. On another note, the strength of its distinct open-ended gameplay also becomes its biggest shortcoming. Lack of a clear direction or goal results in players being confused and having to blindly figure things out on their own.
