Premium football simulation game

EA SPORTS FC™ 24 is a sports simulation game, stepping away from the long-standing FIFA partnership. Despite the name change, it features a huge roster of licensed clubs, leagues, and players from all over the world, bringing the excitement of football to life, both on and off the pitch.

EA SPORTS FC™ 24 really lets players get into the game. Create, control, and compete with their personalized teams, diving deep into the sport's intricacies. It's designed to capture the full thrill of football, giving fans a chance to live out their dreams of glory, one virtual match at a time.

Taking you to the off-field action of the sport

Whether you aspire to recreate the strategic genius of iconic coaches or carve out your own distinctive football identity, EA SPORTS FC™ 24 offers an expansive playground to manifest your footballing fantasies. With its unparalleled customization feature, the game empowers you to craft your dream team using a vast database of real-world players. You can select the perfect formation and tactics that mirror your unique vision and preferred style of play.

The game offers various gameplay modes that cater to different gaming styles. The Career Mode allows players to manage and guide their chosen team to success. This involves the intricacies of club management, making crucial decisions related to transfers, contracts, scouting, and player development. Another popular mode is Ultimate Team, which allows players to build their dream squad by collecting player cards obtained through in-game achievements or in-app microtransactions.

Thanks to its cutting-edge graphics, the game meticulously captures the nuances of the sport, featuring fluid player movements, realistic animations, and accurate representations of stadiums. Additionally, the game enables cross-platform gameplay across a range of gaming systems, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. However, a potential concern that may arise after the game's release is the exorbitant cost associated with in-game microtransactions.

What leagues are involved in EA SPORTS FC™ 24?

Game-changing mechanics and roster overhauls

Beyond the cosmetic rebranding, EA SPORTS FC™ 24's on-field gameplay received a massive tactical upgrade through the introduction of PlayStyles. Powered by real-world Opta data, this mechanic discards rigid, hidden player traits. Instead, it grants elite athletes signature abilities that activate dynamically during a match. When you trigger a lethal power shot or a precise passing sequence, a distinct icon lights up above the player. This element ensures that stars behave like their real-life counterparts.

Meanwhile, the flagship Ultimate Team mode underwent a major mechanical revolution by introducing mixed-gender squads. For the first time, top athletes from both men's and women's professional leagues share the exact same pitch. Rather than just being a superficial addition, this structural change integrates seamlessly because player attributes scale equally. The expanded talent pool injects fresh variety into squad building, letting users pair legendary icons with modern women’s stars to create incredibly unique, competitive tactical combinations.

To complement this roster shakeup, the new Evolutions feature provides a refreshing alternative to traditional card collecting. Instead of relying solely on luck or microtransactions to secure superstars, players can choose lower-rated favorites and systematically upgrade them. By completing specific gameplay objectives, you can permanently boost a card’s raw stats, weak-foot accuracy, or unlock new PlayStyles. This creates a personalized progression path that allows you to turn homegrown players into genuine club legends.

A great game, with some caveats

EA SPORTS FC™ 24 steps into a new era, offering a comprehensive football simulation with impressive realism through HyperMotionV and unique PlayStyles. While its deep modes and expanded licenses are great, be aware of potential online gameplay hiccups, the push for microtransactions, and a feeling that it hasn't completely reinvented the wheel. It's a solid football game, but with a few things to consider.

  • Pros

    • Build and manage your fantasy team
    • A rich database of football athletes
    • Supports cross-play between different platforms
    • Different gameplay modes
  • Cons

    • May involve astronomical costs for in-app purchases
