EA SPORTS FC™ 25 offers new features like a 5v5 Rush mode and enhanced tactical control with FC IQ. You can team up in various game modes, with rewards for loyal fans through Club Membership.  In addition, this game includes in-game purchases and will be available on multiple platforms with cross-play support. The club membership is available to fans who have played EA SPORTS FC 24 before Sept. 27, 2024 and have played EA SPORTS FC 25 before Nov. 1, 2024.

Refined gameplay mechanics

Building upon the impressive foundation of its predecessors, EA SPORTS FC™ 25 showcases refined gameplay mechanics that heighten realism and immersion. The innovations include enhancements in player movement dynamics, more intricate AI behaviors, and enrichments to the physics engine to reflect real-world football accurately. One of the standout features is the addition of 5v5 Rush, which players can experience in Kick-Off, Football Ultimate Team, and Clubs modes, offering a new, fast-paced way to enjoy the game.

Key features include an advanced Career Mode, which has traditionally let players step into the roles of managers or players, navigating through seasons filled with tactical decisions and transfers. This mode also introduces the option to experience a Women's Career, allowing players to manage or control a player from one of the top five women's leagues, bringing a new dimension to the gameplay.

Seamless platform compatibility

EA SPORTS FC™ 25 offers full controller support for both PlayStation and Xbox controllers, providing players with seamless platform compatibility. Whether using a PlayStation DualSense, DualShock, or an Xbox controller, this game is designed to recognize these inputs natively, allowing for smooth gameplay. Moreover, the cross-play support will enable players on different platforms to compete and team up seamlessly. However, the cross-play functionality is not available on the Switch version.

This game offers a virtual in-game currency that players can purchase. This currency can be used to obtain items that enhance gameplay or customize the overall experience. However, it is important to note while cross-play is supported across most platforms, technical issues and compatibility concerns could arise, particularly on older or less common devices. There’s also an issue with how the Career mode UI was designed, affecting the player’s gameplay and how the game has reportedly experienced numerous frame drops and performance issues, severely affecting the football experience. 

As of October 1, 2024, the latest EA SPORTS FC 25 Title Update is now available after numerous player reports have been received by the development team. Issues such as button inputs not being recognized, controller compatibility issues when using the steam input, stability issues in online mode, and more have been fixed.
