Dragon Is Dead is a premium action game from developer Team Suneat. This is a 2D side-scrolling adventure featuring platforming elements and hack-and-slash combat with roguelike mechanics. In it, players will go on a dangerous journey in order to defeat the leader of the dragons that is wreaking havoc on the land.

Similar to Blasphemous 2 or The Last Faith, Dragon Is Dead features dark fantasy themes and a large interconnected map to explore. Players will discover all kinds of hidden secrets as they face a variety of creatures, monsters, and giants throughout their quest; with customizable skill and weapons to maximize your power and match each enemy type.

Terror of dragons

Dragon Is Dead takes place in a dark fantasy world wherein gods and dragons have waged war with each other. However, the latter have perished with Guernian being the last of his kind, turning evil and terrorizing the world. You play as a Dragon Slayer capable of putting a stop to this madness. Thus, begins a perilous mission to defeat him and save everyone.

Throughout your journey, you will come face to face with terrifying monsters created by Guernian himself, and you will need to find and exploit their weaknesses to win your encounters. Craft your own play style from various skill and gear combinations. Collect runes from fallen enemies, which you can combine and use to craft powerful equipment to enhance your attack power. 

What's more, there are various artifacts you can collect and use that will provide all kinds of perks and bonuses. Different combinations will trigger specific synergie,s which you can experiment with. When you die, you retain all your gear and runes, so defeat is not the end. Unfortunately, the game has poor level design variety and lacks unique weapon animations. 

1.0 Patch 

In this latest update, Dragon Is Dead introduces a new enemy faction, who claimed Guernian's heart following his death, called the Circle of the Black Dawn, led by Ashat, whose main objective is to become as powerful as they can be to eventually dominate the world. It also rolls out a new act in the last chapter to make the finale more climactic. 

Alongside a new enemy faction, this update simultaneously launches a new heroine, The Hunter of the Beast, joining the roster of this action-packed game and providing fresh combat and skill mechanics on the battlefield. Furthermore, it presents a new system called the quenching system, which allows players to add an option to their gear, enhancing the existing one and adding a layer of customization options. 

Various legendary and mythical gear have also been added, further enhancing build effectiveness. These are especially helpful when tackling the 15 new levels of the challenging Nightmare difficulty, which unlocks after completing the base game. What sets this mode apart from typical challenges is that it doesn't simply increase enemy numbers. It also introduces new enemy patterns and systems, demanding sharper strategy and adaptability from players.
